Our Wines

In 2017 our Senior Winemaker, Kane Grove, joined the family just ahead of the 2018 vintage. It was the start of a new chapter, and he hasn’t looked back since.
Kane’s impact was immediate with Driftwood’s wines earning a slew of accolades, including gold medals at the Sydney Royal Wine Show, the Perth Royal Wine Awards, and recognition in the Halliday Wine Companion.
Every award is a testament to Kane’s thoughtful, intuitive approach and the respect Kane brings to every vintage.
Winemaking at Driftwood is where science meets creativity, led by curiosity, not recipes. Every vintage is unique, and that’s the beauty of it.
At Driftwood, where the team is small and hands-on, Kane is just as likely to be picking grapes, mending nets, or walking the vineyard rows as he is checking barrels in the winery.

Set on gently sloping gravelly soils near the Indian Ocean, the vineyard benefits from a mild maritime climate and free-draining soils, ideal for cultivating premium grapes.
This terroir supports the production of distinctive wined full of flavour and character.
We work with the land, not against it, combining environmental awareness with practical know-how to grow grapes that truly reflect Margaret River.
What happens in the vineyard sets the tone for everything we do — great wine starts with great fruit.

We keep it simple in the winery, but never simplistic.
Our approach = minimal intervention, maximum respect for the fruit. We know every part of the process, from vine to barrel to bottle — and that hands-on approach is in every glass.
The result? Four distinctive wine series, a Driftwood wine for every table, every moment, and every palate. We let the fruit — and the season — do the talking crafting wines that are expressive, balanced, and full of Margaret River character.
